普段から記憶の変遷をテーマに制作しています。今回は画面に火を直接近づけて煤を付着させることで、火の動静の痕跡を視覚化させました。
「実体が無くとも痕跡を示すことによりその存在を暗示させる」ことで、「記憶の変遷」を表現しました。
I regularly create work with the theme “memory changes.” With this piece, I visualized the traces of the movements of fire by directly bringing the fire close to the panel and leaving the soot on it. I expressed “memory changes” by hinting at an entity’s existence, by leaving traces of it, even without its presence.
